I HAVE FOUND A SOLUTION FOR THE VISTA PROBLEM

1) create a .txt file
2) place the file in the re-volt directory
3) open the file with notepad.exe
4) write: revolt.exe -window -nosound
5) save and close the file
6) rename the file .txt as .bat
7) run the .bat file
8) play revolt!

sometimes "-nosound" is not necessary
